Abstract: THIS FORM IS USED TO MOVE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT WEAPONS LEGALLY INTO EXPORT CHANNELS AND SERVES AS A VEHICLE TO ALLOW EITHER THE REMOVAL OF THE WEAPON FROM THE NATIONAL FIREARMS REGISTRATION AND TRANSFER RECORD OR TO THE COLLECTION OF AN EXCISE TAX. IT IS USED BY FIREARMS MANUFACTURERS, EXPORTERS AND OTHERS TO OBTAIN A BENEFIT AND BY THE TREASURY DEPARTMENT TO DETERMINE/COLLECT TAXES.
