Abstract: THE 1992 CENSUS OF MINERAL INDUSTRIES PROVIDES ECONOMIC STATISTICS ON THE INDUSTRIAL AND GEOGRAPHIC STRUCTURE OF THE MINERAL INDUSTRIES. IT IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF THE FRAMEWORK FOR THE NATIONAL ACCOUNTS AND SERVES AS A BENCHMARK FOR KEY ECONOMIC INDICATORS.
