Abstract: IN ORDER TO INTERPRET BETTER THE RESULTS OF THE 1990 HOME MORTGAGE DISCLOSURE ACT (HMDA) DATA, THE SURVEY WILL COLLECT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ALL BLACK AND HISPANIC APPLICANTS FOR CONVENTIONAL HOME-PURCHASE LOANS AND FOR A SAMPLE OF WHITE APPLICANTS IN THE BOSTON METROPOLITAN AREA.
