Abstract: A 1992 FILING SEASON TEST OF THE FORM 1040EZ-1 WAS CONDUCTED AMONG 342,000 TAXPAYERS IN TEXAS, RHODE ISLAND, AND WASHINGTON. THIS SURVEY OF A SAMPLE OF APPROXIMATELY 3,000 OF THEM WILL ASCERTAIN THEIR REACTIONS TO THE NEW FORM AND ESTIMATE THE AMOUNT OF BURDEN TO BE SAVED THROUGH USE OF THE NEW FORM.
