Abstract: THE PROPOSED REGULATIONS REQUIRE CORPORATIONS THAT MAKE ELECTIONS UNDE SECTION 338 TO PROVIDE CERTAIN INFORMATION. THE INFORMATION IS USED T DETERMINE TAX LIABILITY THAT RESULTS WHEN ELECTIONS ARE MADE AND TO FACILITATE COLLECTIONS OF THE TAX.
