Abstract: THE NUCLEAR WASTE POLICY ACT OF 1982 ESTABLISHES A FRAMEWORK FOR THE DISPOSAL OF SPENT NUCLEAR FUEL AND HIGH-LEVEL RADIOACTIVE WASTE GENERATED BY NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS. 10 CFR 53 ESTABLISHES AN INTERIM PROGRAM FOR THIS STORAGE.
