While most of the surveys included in this docket have achieved good t excellent coverage, three of them show relatively poor performance. This request is approved on condition that, within one year, the Censu Bureau evaluate the poor response to the MQ28F and MQ34H and the poor response by large companies to the MQ34K and submit a report to OMB. T report should address any changes that occur because of the change in frequency of collection, any unique problems in these industries, and options available for improving performance.

THE CURRENT INDUSTRIAL REPORTS PROGRAM COLLECTS AND PUBLISHES 7-DIGIT PRODUCT INFORMATION ON OVER 5,000 MANUFACTURED PRODUCTS. SURVEY RESULT ARE AVAILABLE MONTHLY, QUARTERLY, AND ANNUALLY. OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES USE THE DATA TO ANALYZE SPECIFIC COMMODITIES AND INDUSTRIES. APPROXIMATELY 37000 MANUFACTURING FIRMS REPORT TO THE CURRENT INDUSTRIAL REPORTS PROGRAM.
