Abstract: SECTION 832(B)(5)(A) PROVIDES THAT "LOSSES INCURRED" OF A NONLIFE INSURANCE COMPANY ARE COMPUTED BY TAKING INTO ACCOUNT PAID LOSSES, UNPAID LOSSES, AND SALVAGE AND REINSURANCE. THESE PROPOSED REGULATIONS AMEND THE CURRENT REGULATIONS REGARDING THE TREATMENT OF SALVAGE AND REINSURANCE.
