Abstract: PUBLIC LAW 101-508 IMPOSES A FLOOR STOCKS TAX ON GASOLINE, DIESEL FUEL AND AVIATION FUEL HELD ON DECEMBER 1, 1990. THIS PROPOSED REGULATION REQUIRES TAXPAYERS TO FILE A RETURN AND TAKE AND KEEP AN INVENTORY OF FUEL SUBJECT TO TAX.
