Abstract: THE CENSUS OF TRANSPORTATION, COMMUNICATIONS, AND UTILITIES--1989 PRETEST WILL EVALUATE QUESTIONNAIRES AND COLLECTION METHODS BEING DEVELOPED FOR THE 1992 ECONOMIC CENSUSES. THE CENSUS BUREAU WILL USE PRETEST RESULTS TO PLAN AND IMPLEMENT CENSUS COVERAGE FOR THE FOLLOWIN INDUSTRIES: HIGHWAY PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION, TRANSPORTATION BY AIR, PIPELINES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND UTILITIES.
