Abstract: GIRDER REPORT IS THE ONLY METHOD AVAILABLE TO VERIFY MANUFACTURERS' NAMES AND PART NUMBERS WHICH ARE ASSOCIATED WITH NATIONAL STOCK NUMBER (NSNS) IN THE FEDERAL CATALOG SYSTEM (FSC). THIS FSC MAINTENANCE AVOI ERRONEOUS INVITATIONS TO BID AND ERRONEOUS NSN ASSIGNMENT AND IN CONSONANCE WITH THE INTENT OF TITLE 10, U.S. CODE, CHAPTER 145.
