Abstract: THE CENSUS OF AGRICULTURE PROVIDES THE ONLY KNOWN SOURCE OF PERIODIC, COMPARABLE, AND DETAILED DATA ABOUT PRODUCTION, INVENTORIES AND SALES. THE CENSUS PROVIDES BENCHMARK DATA FOR EVALUATING AGRICULTURE PROGRAMS AND DEVELOPMENT BY TERRITORY AND SMALLER GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS.
