Abstract: THIS REPORT COLLECT WEEKLY DATA FROM A SAMPLE OF FOREIGN BRANCHES OF U.S. BANKS ON CERTAIN TYPES OF DOLLAR-DENOMINATED TIME DEPOSITS AND CERTIFICATES OF DEPOSIT. THESE DATA ARE ESSENTIAL IN CALCULATING THE MONEY AGGREGATE M3. THE PROPOSED REVISION WOULD INVOLVE A SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTION IN THE REPORTING PANEL.
