Abstract: THE PENSION PROTECTION ACT HAS CHANGED CERTAIN OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR STANDARD TERMINATIONS AND DISTRESS TERMINATIONS UNDER TITLE IV OF ERISA. PBGC'S REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FOR TERMINATING PLANS MUST BE MODIFIED ACCORDINGLY TO ENABLE PBGC TO MONITOR AND ENFORCE COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES.
