Abstract: CORONARY HEART DISEASE IS THE MAJOR CAUSE OF DEATH IN USA MANY ORGANIZATIONS RECOMMEND REDUCING DIETARY INTAKE OF CHOLESTEROL AS PREVENTIVE MEASURE. CURRENT CHOLESTEROL LABELING REGULATIONS ARE VERY RESTRICTIVE. FDA IS AMMENDING REGULATIONS TO ALLOW LABELING CLAIMS AN AND TO PROVIDE USEFUL INFORMATION TO CONSUMERS INTERESTED IN LOWERING CHOLESTEROL INTAKE.
