Abstract: APPROXIMATELY 25-60 MILLION AMERICANS HAVE SODIUM RELATED DISEASES AND DISORDERS. EVEN MORE ARE TRYING TO VOLUNTARILY REDUCE SODIUM CONSUMPTION. SODIUM INFORMATION ON FOOD LABELS WILL ENABLE THESE PERSONS TO SELECT APPROPRIATE FOODS TO ACHIEVE DESIRED DIETARY INTAKES OF SODIUM. ONLY FOOD MANUFACTURERS WHO PROVIDE NUTRITION LABELING WILL HAVE A MANDATORY OBLIGATION.
