Abstract: THE U.S. GOVERNMENT HAS A CLEAR AND IMMEDIATE NEED FOR FREQUENT APPAREL PRODUCTION DATA TO MONIT THE EFFECT OF IMPORTS ON THE DOMESTIC APPAREL PRODUCTION INDUSTRY. TH USERS OF THESE DATA WILL BE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, BUSINESS FIRMS, TRADE ASSOCIATIONS, AND RESEARCH AND CONSULTING ORGANIZATIONS.
