Abstract: INFANT FORMULA MICROBIOLOGICAL AND NUTRIENT TESTING, CONSUMER COMPLAIN INVESTIGATIONS AND RECORD RETENTION REQUIREMENTS ARE NECESSARY TO ASSU THE SAFETY OF THE INFANT FORMULA BY ESTABLISHING THAT APPROPRIATE NUTRIENT LEVELS ARE PRESENT. THE PROPOSED REGULATIONS, WHEN FINALIZED WILL AFFECT INFANT FORMULA MANUFACTURERS AND CONSUMERS.
