Abstract: THIS INFORMATION COLLECTION PROVIDES UNIFORM CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING THE USE OF OXYGEN FOR HOME-USE A COVERED MEDICARE BENEFIT. THE PROVISIONS IN THE REGULATIONS AND THE MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS REQUIRE THAT THE PHYSICIAN PROVIDE WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION TO THE CARRIER THROUGH THE DME SUPPLIER.
