Abstract: THE SECRETARY HAS AUTHORITY UNDER SECTION 4101(B) AS IT RELATES TO SECTION 4081 TO PRESCRIBE REGULATIONS THAT MAY REQUIRE A BOND FROM PERSONS THAT REGISTER FOR PURPOSES OF THE GASOLINE EXCISE TAX. THIS REGULATION PROVIDES GUIDELINES AS TO WHEN A PERSON WILL BE REQUIRED TO GIVE A BOND. OTHER REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO BONDS ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THESE REGULATIONS.
