Abstract: MONTHLY VITAL STATISTICS AT THE STATE AND NATIONAL LEVEL ARE REQUIRED BY THE BUREAU OF THE CENSUS IN THE PREPARATION OF POPULATION ESTIMATES AND PROJECTIONS. THEY ARE WIDELY USED BY THE HEALTH COMMUNITY IN TRACKING TRENDS, AND BY THE PUBLIC SECTOR FOR MARKETING AND RESEARCH PURPOSES.
