Abstract: DURING THE LAST FEW YEAR THE CENSUS BUREAU HAS EXPERIENCED A HIGH RATE OF INTERVIEWER TURNOVER. INTERVIERER TURNOVER CAN REDUCE DATA QUALITY AND INCREASE DATA COLLECTION COSTS. THE CENSUS BUREAU'S STRATEGIC PLANNING PROCESS ESTABLISHED SPECIFIC GOALS WITH RESPECT TO REDUCING INTERVIEWER TURNOVER. INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THIS DATA GATHERING ACTIVITY WILL HELP IDENTIFY CAUSES AND PROVIDE INSIGHT INTO APPROPRIATE
