Abstract: THIS STUDY ADDRESSES THE NEED F IMPROVED UNDERSTANDING OF: THE SOURCES OF CENSUS UNDERCOUNT AND THE DIFFERENTIAL IMPACT OF UNDERCOUNT ON CENSUS CHARACTERISTICS. RESULTS WILL HELP IN PRIORITIZING 1990 CENSUS COVERAGE IMPROVEMENT STRATEGIES. APPROXIMATELY 1000 HOUSEHOLDS IN 200 LOS ANGELES BLOCKS WILL BE AFFECTED.
