Abstract: THE INCOME TAX REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF A BROTHER-SISTER CONTROLLED GROUP OF CORPORATIONS OR BUSINESSES ARE AMENDED TO REFLECT A RECENT SUPREME COURT DECISION. AMENDMENTS WILL APPLY RETROACTIVELY. HOWEVER, TAXPAYERS MAY ELECT PROSPECTIVE EFFECT IN CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES.
