Abstract: THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION REQUIRES STATES TO KEEP THIS INFORMATION TO DETERMINE WHETHER CLAIMS MADE BY THE STATE FOR FEDERAL FINANCIAL PARTICIPATION ARE VALID. THE DATA ARE USED TO INSURE THAT STATE PAYMENTS TO PARTICIPANTS DO NOT EXCEED THE LIMIT DETERMINED BY T SECRETARY.
