Abstract: SURVEY IS THE ONLY SOURCE OF DAT ON CURRENT COTTON GINNINGS. DATA ARE NEEDED BY THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA) IN MAKING TIMELY COTTON PRODUCTION, CLASSIFICATION, AND PRODUCTION COST ESTIMATES. DATA ARE USED BY THE ENTIRE COTTON INDUSTRY AND ARE VITAL IN PROVIDING FOR A STABLE MARKET.
