Proposed Census Conditions Approved through October 1987 with the understanding that Census will submit a revised supporting statement for the next clearance request for the Current Population Survey (CPS) which describes in summary form Census's role in the basic CPS program. Topics that should be included are a discussion of the CPS as a major vehicle for the collection of special supplements, use of expired samples as sampling frames, use of the CPS as a model and resource for improving the efficiency and quality of other surveys, and any significant methodological changes since the introduction of the major sample redesign based on the 1980 Census.
