Abstract: BECAUSE STATUTORY CRITERIA FOR DESIGNATING HOUSING DEVELOPMENT GRANT PROGRAM "ELIGIBLE AREAS" HAS CHANGED AND BECAUSE THE MOST CURRENT DATA AVAILABLE TO HUD IS THE 1980 CENSUS, MANY PREVIOUSLY "ELIGIBLE AREAS" DROPPED OFF THE LIST. THIS NOTICE PERMITS SUCH AREAS TO PROVIDE MORE CURRENT DATA ENABLING THEM TO REMAIN ON THE LIST.
