Abstract: THE STATE PLAN IS A COMPREHENSIVE STATEMENT SUBMITTED BY EACH STATE TO SSA DESCRIBING THE NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE AFDC PROGRAM. THIS PLAN IS NEEDED TO DETERMINE WHICH PARTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE FEDERAL MATCHING FUNDS. THE PLAN HAS BEEN AMENDED BASED UPON FINAL REGULATIONS ON DISREGARD OF SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE ASSISTANCE BASED ON NEED.
