Abstract: THE INFORMATION ASSISTS FDA SCIENTISTS IN EVALUATING ALLEGED INJURIES AND ADVERSE REACTIONS DUE TO THE USE OF COSMETIC PRODUCTS REPORTED BY CONSUMERS. THE INFORMATION IS ALSO UTILIZED IN DEFINING AND PLANNING ANALYTICAL AND TOXICOLOGICAL STUDIES IN THE COSMETIC AREA. OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES SUCH AS GAO, NCT AND NIOSH AS WELL AS CONSUMERS AND INDUSTRY, THROUGH POI USE THE DATA.
