Abstract: FISHING EFFORT IS EXPANDING INTO THE CARIBBEAN AREA WHERE NO PREVIOUS LANDING OCCURRED. LANDINGS DATA ARE ESSENTIAL FOR DETERMINING THE EXTEND OF SEASONAL CLOSURES NEEDED TO PREVENT OVERFISHING. ALL COMMERCIAL FISHERMEN IN THE CARIBBEAN AREA MUST REPORT LANDINGS.
