Terms of Clearance: APPROVED, HOWEVER, THE FORM MUST BE MODIFIED TO REMOVE THE REQUIREMENT FOR SUBMISSION OF THE VOLUNTEER'S NAMES AND ADDRESSES AND REQUIRE INSTEAD AN ESTIMATED NUMBER OF TOTAL VOLUNTEERS INITIALLY EMPLOYED AT THE SITE. THIS CHANGE IS REQUIRED BECAUSE THE DETAILED INFORMATION ON VOLUNTEERS LACKS PRACTICAL UTILITY IN ITS PRESENT FORM AND IS NOT THE LEAST BURDENSOME METHOD TO ACHEIVE IRS OBJECTIVES. THE IRS USES THE DETAILED INFORMATION TO DETERMINE THE NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS EMPLOYED AT THE SITE, THEREFORE, IT HAS A NEED TO COLLECT AN ESTIMATE OF THE NUMBER OF VOLUNTEERS AT THE SITE. TREASURY SHOULD PROVIDE OMB WITH A REVISED ESTIMSTE OF BURDEN, NOT LATER THAN 1/10/86. IN ADDITION, TREASURY IS REMINDED TO PROVIDE OMB WITH A COPY OF THE FORM REFLECTING THE AFOREMENTIONED CHANGES.
