Abstract: BERC-315F CODIFIED AT 42 CFR 412.118(D) CHANGES THE METHOD OF COUNTING I&RS FOR PURPOSES FO MAKING PAYMENT AND CHANGES THE RELATED REPORTING. TO PROVIDE FOR A FAIR DISTRIBUTION OF THE ADDITIONAL PAYMENT FOR INDIRECT MEDICAL EDUCATION, COSTS DUE TO HOSPITALS, THE REPORTING PERI IS BASED ON EACH HOSPITALS FISCAL YEAR, AND A NEW SINGLE DATE METHOD O COUNTING I&RS RESULTS IN SUBMISSION OF ONLY ONE ANNUAL REPORT.
