Abstract: THE DOD PROPERTY RECORD IS THE PRINCIPAL INSTRUMENT BY WHICH THE DEFEN INDUSTRIAL PLAN EQUIPMENT CENTER (DIPEC) IS ABLE TO MAINTAIN CENTRAL INVENTORY RECORDS OF INDUSTRIAL PLANT EQUIPMENT (IPE) WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE. IT IS USED FOR REPORTING THE INITIAL ACQUISITION OF IPE TO DIPEC AS WELL AS IPE IN ACTIVE OR IDLE STATUS AND ANY CHANGES IN THE STATUS OF TRANSFERS OF IPE.
