Abstract: HOUSING VOUCHER INDICATES THE FAMILY'S RESPONSIBILITIES UNDER THE HOUSING VOUCHER PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZES THE FAMILY TO LOOK FOR AN ELIGIBLE RENTAL UNIT. THE REQUEST FOR LEASE APPROVAL IS SIGNED BY THE OWNER AND TENANT AND IS SUBMITTED TO THE PHA WHEN THE FAMILY FINDS A UNIT WHICH IS SUITABLE FOR ITS NEEDS. IT IS ALSO USED AS A BASIS FOR DETERMINING RENT REASONABLENESS AND TO SCHEDULE THE UNIT INSPECTION.
