Abstract: SECTION 205(B) OF THE SOCIAL SECURITY ACT PROVIDES THAT UPON WRITTEN REQUEST BY AN INDIVIDUAL WHOSE RIGHTS MAY BE PREJUDICED BY A PREVIOUS SSA DECISION, THE SECRETARY WILL GIVE SUCH INDIVIDUAL AN OPPORTUNITY FOR RECONSIDERATION OF THAT DECISION.
