Abstract: THE IRS HAS A REGULAR RQUIREMENT FOR APPRAISAL SERVICES OF ITEMS IN CONSIDERATION OF TAX CLAIMS AND DISPUTES. THE IRS MANUAL REQUIRES AN APPLICATION FROM QUALIFIED FIRMS TO BE PLACED ON A SOURCE LIST IN ORDE TO SOLICIT COMPETITION. FORM 6868 IS USED EACH TIME A NEED ARISES FOR QUALIFIED APPRAISER WITHIN EACH REGION.
