THE EQUAL CREDIT OPPORTUNITY ACT VESTS ADMINISTRATIVE ENFORCEMENT RESPON SIBILITIES WITH RESPECT TO DIFFERENT CLASSES OF CREDITORS IN SPECIFIC FINANCIAL REGULATORY AGENCIES. VA'S ACTIVITIES IN THIS AREA ARE THEREFORE DUPLIICATIVE OF THOSE CONDUCTED BY THE SPECIFIED ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES, AND COLLECTION OF DATA IS THUS UNAPPROVABLE UNDER THE TERMS OF THE PAPERWORK REDUCTION ACT. A COPY OF THE REVISED FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED TO OMB NOT LATER THAN MAY 25, 1985. THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT WILL BE ADVIED OF THIS ACTION AND WILL BE REQUIRED TO MAKE SIMILAR MODIFICATIONS ON ITS FORMS. Remarks added 5/31/85 as follows: VA has agreed to discontinue the collection of race, ethnic and sex information on non co-borrower spouses and revise the form accordingly at the earliest practicable date.
