Abstract: THE AGENCY FOR TOXIC SUBSTANCES AND DISEASE REGISTRY IN COOPERATION WITH THE NATIONAL GOVERNORS ASSOCIATION WILL SURVEY STATE AGENCIES TO ESTABLISH A LISTING OF AREAS CLOSED OR RESTRICTED BECAUSE OF TOXIC SUBSTANCE CONTAMINATION. THIS DATA WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE EXTENT AND NATURE OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONTAMINATION AND ITS EFFECT ON THE USE OF VARIOUS AREAS BY PEOPLE.
