Abstract: RULE 15BA2-6, ADOPTED ON JULY 4, 1976, PERMITS AN APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION AS A MUNICIPAL SECURITIES DEALER (EITHER A SECURITIES FIRM OR A BANK) TO BE FILED ON BEHALF OF SUCH ENTITY BY A PREDESESSOR AND PERMITS THE SUCCESSOR TO ADOPT THAT APPLICATION AS ITS OWN, THEREBY FACILITATING REGISTRATION AND REDUCING THE PAPERWORK ASSOCIATE WITH REGISTRATION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL SECURITIES DEALERS.
