Abstract: RULE 17F-2(E) ESTABLISHES THE NOTICE CONTENT REQUIREMENT AND EXEMPTS CERTAIN SMALL TRANSFER AGENTS FROM THAT REQUIREMENT. GENERALLY, ENTITIES CLAIMING AN EXEMPTION FROM THE FINGERPRINTING REQUIREMENTS MUST MAKE AND KEEP CURRENT A NOTICE IDENTIFYING PERSONS CLAIMED TO BE EXEMPT. THIS INSURES APPROPRIATE PERSONS ARE FINGERPRINTED AND THAT ONLY THOSE PERSONS HAVE ACCESS TO SECURITIES.
