Abstract: PHYSICAL INVENTORY RECORDS SHOW THE AMOUNTS OF SPIRITS ACTUALLY ON HAND, AS OPPOSED TO BOOK FIGURES. INVENTORY FIGURES ARE USED TO DETERMINE TAX LIABILITIES AND ARE ALSO NECESSARY AS AN ACCOUNTING TOOL AND AS PART OF THE AUDIT TRAIL.
