Abstract: SECTION 73.1207 REQUIRES THAT FCC AUTHORIZATION BE REQUESTED BY ALL BROADCAST STATIONS PRIOR TO RETRANSMISSION OF POINT-TO-POINT MESSAGES ORIGINATED BY GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATELY OWNED NON-BROADCAST STATIONS. CAN BE OBTAINED VIA TELEPHONE CALL AND CONFIRMED IN WRITING. THIS NOTIFICATION ASSURES THE COMMISSION THAT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION FOR THE TRANSMISSION WAS OBTAINED FROM ORIGINATOR OF THE MESSAGE AND STATION LICENSEE.
