Abstract: THE MQC STATISTICAL REPORTS ARE A USEFUL DEVICE IN CARRYING OUT THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE MQC SYSTEM - REDUCING DOLLAR LOSSES IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICAID. THEY PROVIDE INFORMATION CONCERNING THE MAJOR CAUSES OF ERROR, SIGNIFYING WHERE STATES SHOULD DIRECT THEIR CORRECTIVE ACTION EFFORTS.
