Abstract: THERE ARE NOW APPROXIMATELY 3.5 MILLION VETERANS AGED 65 AND OVER. THI WILL INCREASE TO 9.0 MILLION BY 1982, AND REMAIN 6.0 MILLION UNTIL 2030. THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION DOES NOT HAVE THE INFORMATION NEEDED ABOUT THE POTENTIAL USERS OF VA PROGRAMS TO ADEQUATELY PLAN FOR THE FUTURE. THE SURVEY SHOULD BE IN THE FIELD BY MAY 23, 1983, AND ALL FIE WORK WILL BE COMPLETED BY AUGUST 18, 1983.
