Abstract: 26 U.S.C. SECTION 6011 REQUIRES THAT A TAX RETURN MUST BE FILED IF THE TAXPAYER HAS A TAX LIABILITY. IF THE TAXPAYER FILES TWO RETURNS FOR THE SAME TAX PERIOD, FURTHER CLARIFICATION IS NEEDED BY I.R.S. TO CORRECTLY PROCESS THE RETURNS.
