Abstract: BECAUSE OF THE SUBSTANTIAL LOSS IN TAX REVENUES WHICH WOULD BE INCURRED BY THE ILLEGAL DISTILLATION OF ALCOHOL, ALL STILLS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING ALCOHOL MUST BE REGISTERED WITH ATF ONCE THEY ARE SET UP AND ARE READY TO COMMENCE DISTILLATION. THIS ENABLES ATF TO INSPECT THE STILLS TO ENSURE THAT ALCOHOL IS NOT BEING DIVERTED.
