Abstract: THE STUDENT COMPLETES AN APPLICATION FROM (ED 255) ON WHICH HE/SHE PROVIDES INCOME AND ASSET INFORMATION NECESSARY TO DETERMINE AN EXPECTED FAMILY CONTRIBUTION TOWARD EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES. THE STUDEN SENDS THE FORM TO AN ED CONTRACTOR WHICH DETERMINES THE AMOUNT OF THE EXPECTED FAMILY CONTRIBUTION. THE ED CONTRACTOR THEN SENDS THE STUDENT A SAR WHICH IS A NOTIFICATION OF THE RESULTS OF THAT DETERMINATION.
