Abstract: PART OF THE 1982 CENSUS OF GOVERNMENTS. FORMS REQUEST DATA ON STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYMENT, EMPLOYER COSTS FOR SELECTED EMPLOYEE BENEFITS, AND LABOR MANAGEMENT RELATIONS. RESULTS ARE USED BY FEDERAL STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND AGENCIES, AS WELL AS BY PUBLI INTEREST GROUPS, ACADEMIC INSTRUCTORS AND RESEARCHERS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
