Abstract: FORM 4747 PROVIDES THE TAXPAYER WITH A SIMPLE FORMAT FOR PRESENTING INFORMATION TO SUPPORT THEIR DEDUCTION FOR EXPENSES CLAIMED IN CONNECTION WITH THEIR EMPLOYMENT. THE INFORMATION IS USED DURING THE EXAMINATION OF THE TAXPAYERS RETURN TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE CLAIMED EXPENSES SHOULD BE ALLOWED.
